Privacy Policy

RentalTabs is a product of FormoHost LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. RentalTabs is in development. Parts of this policy describe how the product will work when it launches.

1. Data we collect

• Waitlist data. When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, the number of rental units you choose to share, and how you found us (for example, a referral link).
• Google account data. When you use the add-on, Google shares your email address and basic profile with us. With your permission, the add-on reads and writes the Google Sheet you use with RentalTabs.
• Financial account data. If you connect a bank or card account, our partner Plaid sends us account names, balances, and transactions for the accounts you choose. We never see or store your bank login credentials.
• Website usage data. Our website uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages and links bring visitors. It does not use cookies and does not collect your name or email.
• Billing data. Payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.

2. How we use your data

• To write your transactions into your own Google Sheet and sort them by property and tax category.
• To create the summaries and reports you ask for.
• To send you product emails, such as a launch notice or important account updates.
• To keep the service secure and fix problems.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your financial data for advertising. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed below, or when the law requires it.

3. Google user data

RentalTabs' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use Google user data to provide the features you see in the add-on. We do not use it to train AI models, and humans do not read it unless you ask us for support, we need to for security, or the law requires it.

4. Service providers

• Plaid connects your financial accounts. Plaid's handling of your data is described in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.
• Vercel and Supabase host our website and database in the United States. Vercel also provides our cookie-free website analytics.
• Our payment processor handles billing.

5. Security and storage

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access tokens for connected accounts are stored encrypted and are never sent to your browser. Access to production systems is limited to the founder.

6. How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account is active. If you disconnect an account, we stop pulling new data from it. If you delete your account, we delete your stored data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it. The Google Sheet stays in your own Google Drive.

7. Your choices

• You can disconnect a bank account or remove the add-on at any time.
• You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data by emailing us.
• You can leave the waitlist by replying to any of our emails.

8. Children

RentalTabs is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes

If we make important changes to this policy, we will update the date above and tell users by email.
